We had Layr installed about two years ago for high winds and debris, but were instead protected from flying glass when seven .45 caliber bullets struck our home. Our picture window, which was stuck twice, remained intact. There were no flying shards of glass that could have cause severe injuries or even death.

Glad I chose Layr for my problem: Newly upholstered sofa near window fading from direct sunlight. Daniel from Layr came the day after I called them to measure and offer a variety of window film solutions. He was nice and knowledgeable. Gave me a decent quote, so done deal. Very soon Ruben the installer came. Picture shows Ruben picking off a cat hair…boy is he detailed and professional! You can’t even tell the film is on my window and I still get plenty of sunlight! I’d originally called Prestige who asked for measurements, pictures, etc. I emailed this to the address they suppled but no response from Prestige. When I called Prestige about this, I was told they gave me the email for commercial. They then gave me the email for residential, where I sent the same pix and specs and after over a week, no response from Prestige. I think they are too busy with big commercial jobs. So if you’re residential do Layr instead. I couldn’t be more pleased!

I chatted online with Sue  via Layr’s website and she set up an appointment for me with Will. It was simple. He came to my house and showed me the different types of 3M window film for my skylights. My priority was to reduce the heat from the hot sun and also the air conditioning bill. I took his recommendation for the night vision 25. Two men came and did a wonderful job. There are no light gaps and it looks great. It has made my home so much more comfortable. I am very happy with this film as I was concerned that it would make the house dark. It looks as if I were looking through sunglasses. I am so happy and I thank Will for recommending the right product for my needs. Layr is a great company from all aspects and I love that you can chat online rather than leaving phone contact. Definitely will use them again and definitely will recommend them.

I was looking for something to reduce the sun glare and to help with keeping my home cool. After doing some research on my options, window film seemed to be the most logical. We had them install UV protective coating on our windows. They gave me a fair quote, scheduled the installers in a reasonable time frame and showed up. Their workers were careful with our stuff and cleaned up after themselves. It is a pleasure not to have to close our blinds all day long now to protect our art and furnishings.
